Music has always been a staple of the event and this year will be no different. The Rua, Roseanna (lead vocals/guitar), Alanna (piano, vocals) & Jonathan Brown (violin, vocals, guitar), referred to as “Tomorrow’s Hit” by Billboard, have made significant waves since entering the music scene only a few years ago.

All being songwriters writing their own music, the family trio were brought up in Windsor in the UK. Their name takes inspiration from Irish and also Hebrew, which results in The Rua meaning ‘essence of a group’ with their music and Irish heritage being their essence.

Billboard have described the trio’s sound best when calling them a mix between Taylor Swift’s Red album, The Corrs and The Cranberries. Their debut album ‘Essence’ received a 4* review in Q Magazine and spawned 3 Top 40 singles on the Billboard Adult Pop Chart. With their second self-titled album released in 2019, their single ‘Gasoline’ reached #25 and 2020 sees the latest single ‘Hey You’ at #36 making a total of 5 Top 40 singles and 46 weeks in the Billboard Adult Pop Chart. Adding to this, The Rua have also gained 2 Top 20 singles on the Billboard Dance Chart and 2 Top 10 singles on the UK Dance Club Chart. The Rua toured as the main opening act for the Irish group Westlife on their sold-out UK and Ireland arena tour.
