Aidan Gillen is known to international audiences from an array of standout performances including turns on the HBO series “Game of Thrones” and “The Wire.” He is currently starring in the Robert Zemeckis-produced A&E/HISTORY series “Project Blue Book.” The series quickly became a hit and has been picked up for a second season.

Gillen also recently filmed his second season on the BBC/Netflix series “Peaky Blinders” (winner of last year’s Best Drama BAFTA).

Aidan’s breakthrough lead performances were in “Safe” (winner of Best British Film Edinburgh and BAFTA Single Drama) and "Queer as Folk" for which he was nominated BAFTA Best Actor. He was winner of the IFTA Best Actor Award three times for “The Wire”, "Love/Hate” and “Charlie” where he portrayed Charles Haughey. He won accolades for playing “Dave Allen at Peace” on the BBC.

On the big screen, he recently appeared in A24’s “The Lovers” and “Maze Runner: Death Cure.” He currently appears in Fox’s box office smash, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which won a Golden Globe for Drama Motion Picture and is nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture. Breakthrough film roles were in “The Low Down” (Edinburgh Film Festival Best Newcomer) and “Treacle Jr.” (nominated for Best Actor British Independent Film Awards and winner, Best Actor Milan Film Festival). His film “You’re Ugly Too” is among some of his favorite works in independent films.

Also an accomplished stage actor, Gillen has appeared on the West End, Broadway and Dublin Gate Theatre, earning a Tony Award nomination in 2004 for his role in the Broadway production of “The Caretaker.”

Aidan loves music and west Kerry equally and passionately and these two dovetailed nicely when he presented.
