Snow Patrol will perform and be honored at the Oscar Wilde Awards.

The band, which originated in Northern Ireland, will perform Feb. 25 at the event held at J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot production company in Santa Monica. The Irish singer Roisin O will also perform.

Snow Patrol is the winner of the Ivor Novello award and responsible for many hit singles including “Run,” “Chocolate” and “Chasing Cars.” The band’s albums have been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, Brits, Grammys and MTV Europe Music Awards. The band also provides mentoring for music businesses and bands from Northern Ireland.

It was previously announced that James Corden would be the recipient of the Honorary Irishman award.

“We are hoping for a strong Irish presence in L.A. this year,” said Trina Vargo, founder and president of the U.S.-Ireland Alliance. “There is a lot of Oscar buzz around ‘Room’ and ‘Brooklyn.’”

“Room,” starring Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay, is based on the book written by Emma Donoghue and was directed by Lenny Abrahamson. “Brooklyn,” based on the novel by Colm Toibin, is directed by John Crowley and stars Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen and Saoirse Ronan, a previous recipient of an Oscar Wilde Award. And Paddy Breathnach’s “Viva” is one of nine films shortlisted for the foreign-language Oscar.
