Teen rockers The Strypes are getting the star treatment in the States.

The Cavan band, tipped to be the next Rolling Stones, enjoyed their debut US TV appearance on Conan O'Brien's chat show.

And they proved they are hot property across the Atlantic after landing a major gig at the famous Oscar Wilde bash before the Academy Awards.

But last night they showed their modesty when they were starstruck after their appearance on O'Brien's show, on which they played their smash hit single, Blue Collar Jane.

"Had an Amazing time on The Conan Show, many thanks to Conan and crew for making us so welcome," read a post on their Twitter page.

Ross Farrelly, Josh McClorey, Pete O'Hanlon and Evan Walsh have been compared to the Stones, and Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher are fans.
