The Oscar Wilde Awards better known as the 'Irish Oscars' is an annual event that aims to honour the Irish-American relationship within the entertainment industry.
The awards are the brainchild of Trina Vargo and are part of a range of initiatives of the US Ireland-Alliance, that include the prestigious George J Mitchell Scholarship.
Hosted annually by Hollywood legend J.J. Abrams in his Bad Robot production offices, last night's pre-Oscar event saw American stars Melissa McCarthy and Glenn Close walking the green carpet alongside Irish actress Sarah Bolger who stole the show in a gorgeous Don O'Neill gĂșna.
