In addition to honouring Irish writing, the film board said the event would serve as a networking opportunity for members of the US and Irish film communities.

Those performing on the night include Paddy Casey, Darren Holden, who is performing the role of Billy Joel in the production of Tony Award-winning musical, Movin’ Out, and Drogheda singer-songwriter SJ McCardle.
